The HAP Scholarship for Women

Village clinics comprise longer term projects. It will take time to train women in acupuncture and other CM treatment modalities.  HAP is endeavoring to build a scholarship fund for the village women, traditionally considered second-class citizens, for living expenses, educational materials, and acupuncture and other supplies while they study at the monastery and thus acquire the means to earn a living on their own.  Sanjeeb has been provisionally designated as the coordinator of the village clinics since he is intimately knowledgeable about the villages and remote areas. HAP estimates that $1,400 will be needed for each scholarship per year.
