Susanne Thomas, PhD, is the Project Manager for the Humanitarian Acupuncture Project. She is also a nonprofit consultant. Thomas is a certified grant writer with a $3 million+ portfolio of grants for international education programs and is well-versed in nonprofit development and fundraising, program development, program logistics, management, training, conducting workshops and webinars, strategic planning, and outcomes assessment and evaluation. She has significant IT knowledge and has built a number of websites. Thomas uses social media strategically for promotional and marketing purposes.
Dr. Thomas earned her PhD in Modern Languages and Literatures from Emory University and her AB from Boston’s Emmanuel College. She has been an Associate Professor of English and American Literature at the University of Tunis and an administrator and project director of international programs for some 15 years. She was also a Peace Corps volunteer in Tunisia and has lived and worked in Montreal, Paris, and Cairo.
